As has been alluded to, we both got the stomach flu. Yay! I'll spare you the details, but it involved several days in a hotel room, one night in a hospital room, and a lot of time in the bathroom. That time was split between Erica being sick in Booneville, then me getting sick 50 miles later in Berea. It sucked. A lot. And it's not really over yet. We've made it two days and a fairly painful 100 miles from Berea, and the bug seems to be lingering, especially for me. It also happens to be one of the hottest late Springs, like ever.
We're still in good spirits, just keeping our eyes on the next day and hoping to keep recovering. It's hard right now, but nobody said it would be easy.
But enough negative! More positive!

BARF. I can't imagine being sick on the road! I hope it didn't ruin Berea for you. Everyone here is so happy that you guys made it through Eastern Kentucky. Howabout that Haighter's Gap?! (Or however you spell it). Any good dog stories?
