We headed north to meet Jake and Dani in St. Louis for a few days off and some time spent being 'tourists' (vs bike tourists). It was a wonderful time spent with you two! Thanks for showing us around!
We got some bike stuff, some vegan food, some books, some play time, and some good beer. We even got to see Columbia, the town that brought Jake and Dani together!
It was a good time off, and boy was it nice to not be in the south! We are back on the road and almost back to our route. It's always hard starting out again after a few days off and today was the perfect example. We got hit with road closures, long closed bridges, heavy rain, quicksand, and unclear directions from which we got lost.
It will be quite nice to be back on route tomorrow with directions we know work!

quick sand??? that is not one of the things on my "to worry about" list for your bike trip! Hope you find some great farm stands with corn, tomatoes and fruit soon!
